"Bol mari Ambe, jay jay Ambe"
Navaratri is an annual Hindu festival observed in honour of the goddess Durga, an aspect of Adi Parashakti, the supreme goddess. It spans over nine nights (and ten days) in the month of Ashvin (September–October). In Hindu mythology, Navratri signifies the victory of good over evil. The story of Navratri is a battle between the goddess Durga and the demon Mahishasura.
Navaratri in Gujarat (India) is one of the state's main festivals. The traditional celebrations include fasting for a day, or partially fasting each of the nine days, in remembrance of one of nine aspects of Shakti goddess.Â
May this Navratri bring light into your life and dispel the darkness of ignorance. Jay Ambe.!
